To be certified SIPP, all packaging must pass physical performance tests.
If your product:
- is in rigid packaging, and
- weighs <23kg and is non-fragile
OR
- is in flexible packaging, and
- is non-fragile, non-granular, and non-sharp
then you can conduct a self-test to certify as described as demonstrated in the instructions and videos below!
If your product is in rigid packaging and weighs more than 23kg or is fragile and weighs less than 23kg, or your product is in flexible packaging and is fragile, granular, and/or sharp, you cannot self-test. You will need to submit a lab report from an ISTA-6 lab in Amazon’s APASS (Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier Network) network or the Amazon Packaging Lab.
